Health Equity Tools and Resources
Addressing health equity in Waterloo Wellington is a key priority in creating the highest quality health system possible for residents of Waterloo Wellington. In order to ensure issues surrounding health equity are address in all areas of the health system, we have made changes to the French Language Service Report to include questions on how organizations have made efforts to improve health equity through their programs and services. Below are some tools and resources, including our October 27th Webinar, that you may find helpful as you complete the new report template or as you consider health equity initiatives within your organization.
Health Equity Webinar
We had heard from residents that many positive changes have been made to the local health care system; however, not all residents share in these positive experiences nor do they have the same health outcomes as others because of inequities in the system.
We invited representatives from health service providers to attend this webinar to learn more about health equity and recent updates to the French Language Services Report to include questions on how your organization has made intentional efforts to improve health equity through your programs and services.
